Other PSEG NJ Billing/Payment Options
1: Equal Payment Plan (EPP): Avoid seasonal peaks in your energy bills. They’ll calculate your yearly energy cost (based on your previous year’s energy usage) and divide the total into equal monthly payments.
After six months, Western Union Pay Agent compare the energy you’ve used to the payments you’ve made to date and adjust your monthly payment, if necessary. At the end of your EPP year, PSEG NJ will re-evaluate your usage and payments again. Your first bill for year two of the plan will include updated adjustments from the previous year. If you overpaid, we’ll credit your account. If you carry a balance, they’ll add it to your Equal Payment Plan amount due.
2: Deferred Payment Arrangement (DPA): If you’re behind on your bill but can’t make up the past-due balance all at once, a Deferred Payment Arrangement, or DPA, may be able to help you catch up. You can pay your past due balance over an agreed upon period of time. To make a Deferred Payment Arrangement, log in to My Account.
In order to assist their customers during this difficult time, you can make a DPA with little to no money down regardless of past payment history. Also, they have extended the length of time allowable for repayment. During the period of your DPA, each month you’ll continue to pay your regular monthly bill, plus the DPA amount toward your past-due balance. To take advantage of these extended DPA’s please call 1-800-357-2262.
